May 5, 2014 Cinco de Mayo

Get started with the girls from weight watchers, my video friends.  They never criticize or laugh at me when I miss steps.  Aerobic sets with weight intervals.  Easy start for Monday.  yea fish arms.

Jeremiah chapter 9 - All the brains, strength and wealth in this world, still puts you on the same page as the rest of us on that last day.  The study writer mentioned to remember to "give God the Glory".  When I would go to Bass Lake with the kids, camping for 4 days, I would wake them up with a rousing chorus of "Give God the Glory".  They loved it.  (lol).  "Rise and Shine and Give God the Glory Glory!"  Now you have it stuck in your head too!

On this day:  Commemorates the Mexican army’s 1862 victory over France at the Battle of Puebla during the Franco-Mexican War (1861-1867). In the US, Cinco de Mayo is widely interpreted as a celebration of Mexican culture and heritage.
1968 - In a weak moment I picked up my fiancée's wallet and looked through it.  I never did that before and haven't after.  I found some girls phone numbers in there and was absolutely livid.  He didn't remember they were in there and the one, he didn't even know who it was.  The worse thing was the breach of trust that happens when someone does that.  It's that dark twin that lives in us.

Parenting - That incident probably helped me to never do that with anyone after or my kids.  There are times and circumstances when parents might find it necessary to search a purse, drawer, car or room, if the circumstances are dire.  I think most parents have dealt with this at one time or another.

Book Club - Mornings on Horseback by David McCullough.  Teddie or Thee had asthma and was catered to and coddled through  his childhood.  This was interesting to me that they have connected this condition to be psychosomatic.  That most of his attacks happened on Sunday, he didn't like going to a church.  They also declared that most episodes are for the mother's benefit.

Zuato Venezuela - Lets check out a little more history:
The recovery of oil prices after 2001 boosted the Venezuelan economy and facilitated social spending which significantly reduced inequality and poverty,[10][11] although the fallout of the 2008 global financial crisis saw a renewed economic downturn. By late 2010 Venezuela's economy had some growth,[12] though this has been sluggish and accompanied by high inflation and shortages.[13] In February 2013, Venezuela devalued its currency due to the rising shortages in the country.[14] Shortages of items included toilet paper, milk, flour and other necessities.[15] As of November 2013, Venezuela's inflation has also greatly increased to 54%.[16] According to the 2013 Global Misery Index Scores, Venezuela was ranked as the top spot globally with the highest misery index score.[17]
That's not good, take toilet paper if you are going there!

Enjoy the day!  Make it Memorable!
