Get Fit
Started my day with Abs of Steel (always a laugh).  Did not realize I would have to be walking to the river to bring water into my home to flush the toilet all day.  Well, ok  I'm just going to my neighbors yard and getting it from her outside tap.  shhhhh

Romans 12:2  "Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but be a new and different person with a fresh newness in all you do and think.  Then you will learn from your own experience how his ways will really satisfy you."  It is hard to live a Christian life in this world.  I have been called Goody Two Shoes, I go by GTS at laser tag.  I have been called the church lady, ok I don't mind that either.  Lutheran num, now that is really testing the truth.  I live in this world and am a sinner, like everyone else. I try to keep my heart and mind in a right place because it makes me happier.  If you are often dissatisfied with the world and everyone around you, maybe, you should look at your heart.

The second petition.  "Your kingdom come"  His kingdom is among us and we should lead lives of goodwill toward everyone.  That ties in with the above verse - put others before yourself and you will have God's kingdom.  It isn't a popular thought in this "take care of yourself first world."

On this day
2010  Something you never want to hear when your child is up skiing/snowboarding.  "Mom, I just want to warn you I had a bad accident up here."  She looked like a mummy.  They had bandaged her face it looked so bad.  She assured me it wasn't from snowboarding but sledding.  Picture available on request.

1556 - Thomas Cranmer, the Archbishop of Canterbury, was burned at the stake at Oxford after retracting the last of seven recantations that same day. Wait!, they still burned him after he recanted?

Belarus

Early history[edit]

From 5000 to 2000 BC, Bandkeramik cultures predominated. In addition, remains from the Dnieper-Donets culture were found in Belarus and parts of Ukraine.[47] Cimmerians and other pastoralists roamed through the area by 1,000 BC, and by 500 AD, Slavs had taken up residence, which was circumscribed by the Scythians who roamed its outskirts. Invaders from Asia, among whom were the Huns and Avars, swept through c. 400–600 AD, but were unable to dislodge the Slavic presence.[48]
The region that is now Belarus was first settled by Baltic tribes in the 3rd century. Around the 5th century, the area was taken over by Slavic tribes. The takeover was partially due to the lack of military coordination of the Balts but the gradual assimilation of the Balts into Slavic culture was peaceful in nature.[49

1 JOhn 4:7  "Dear friends, let us practice loving each other, for love comes from God and those who are loving and kind show that they are the children of God, and that they are getting to know him better."  Actions are stronger than words.  We can share our faith better by being a shining example of Jesus and the love, the non confrontational, non judgemental and all accepting person that He is.  Who do you invite to church?

Hallowed be thy name.  The first petition.  As the second commandment - Do not use the name of the Lord thy God in vain.   Our God is Holy and should only be spoke of in reverence, honor and love.

2009  When I worked at Clancy's I loved Fridays during Lent.  I would take orders for fish dinners and go pick up 5-10 lunches, depending who was in the shop.  For some reason those were the best fish dinners ever.  On this day, Nicole was up at Boyne (probably having too much fun) Mom and I went to Golden Chopsticks for dinner and then I met Waynette at Beach Grill.  To  top it off I sent an Easter card to my ex.   Something for everyone, lol.

1525 - Paris' parliament began its pursuit of Protestants. I'm guessing this wasn't to woo them. Oh, us Christians.

Belarus
The term Byelorussia (its names in other languages such as English being based on the Russian form) was only used officially until 1991, when the Supreme Soviet of the Byelorussian SSR decreed by law that the new independent republic should be called Republic of Belarus (Республика Беларусь spelled in Russian), as well its abridged form should be "Belarus". The law decreed that all the forms of the new term should be transliterated into other languages from their Belarusian language forms. The use of Byelorussian SSR and any abbreviations thereof were allowed from 1991–93.[40] Conservative forces in the newly independent Belarus did not support the name change and opposed its inclusion in the 1991 draft of the Constitution of Belarus.[41]    Note the Supreme Soviet declared the change and not a vote by the people.

2 Timothy 1:7  "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind."  I occasionally question the last sound mind but, I do believe that the more we reach out to others the more power and love we have.  My life is full, and I can tell you when it got tremendously better, when my daughter was born.  In my desire to make her life all she wanted it to be I was led by God to encourage her faith - and so both of our lives have been better.  Don't be afraid to lead someone else down that path - the more the merrier, I say, oh and so does Timothy.

The Lenten study continues with the Lord's Prayer.  "Our Father in heaven"  He is in heaven, and everywhere else, as He is omnipresent.  Our Triune God approaches us from all angles, in all places at all times.  Truly, our Father cares for us and answers our prayers, wherever He is.  Today I hear He is at church!  I'm going!

On this day
2007 - On this day it snowed :(  after work and dinner was finished I got on the computer to do my work as the youth director.  I had council the night before and always made a practice of sending copy of my notes that I had reported on to the council to all members of the youth board, to keep everyone informed.  I also sent a copy to the church secretary to include in the church newsletter to let the congregation know what the youth and its board were doing.  I believe in clarity and sharing information on what matters to all of the members.  Sometime we forget  the best way to keep people in the fold is to keep them informed like they have a right to be.

1644 - 200 members of the Peking imperial family/court committed suicide. Not sure this is good info to share but it raises a lot of questions.  Why?  Were they all agreed on this or was some of it murder?
Who took over?

Belarus
Etymology[edit]
The name Belarus is closely related with the term Belaya Rus' , i.e., White Rus'. There are several claims to the origin of the name White Rus'.[27] An ethno-religious theory suggests that the name used to describe the part of old Ruthenian lands within the Grand Duchy of Lithuania that had been populated mostly by early Christianized Slavs, as opposed to Black Ruthenia, which was predominantly inhabited by pagan Balts.[28]

Luke 15:4-6  "Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them.  Does he not.. go after the lost sheep until he finds it?  And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders and goes home."  The study writer shared a poem and I especially like this line:
"And all through the mountains, thunder-riven and up from the rocky steep,
There arose a glad cry to the gate of heaven, "Rejoice! I have found My sheep!""

I visited a lady from church I know, on Thursday, she was good friends with my mom and was now in hospice.  At first I thought she would not know I was there but then as I spoke I noticed she responded by holding her breath when I spoke or moved her jaw a little when I said the Lord's Prayer with her.  I held her hand which was ice cold and after praying and talking with her for a while I noticed her hand and arm had warmed up.  I urged her to pass on to a better place to be with Jesus and those she loved that had gone ahead.   I heard the next day that she did join those loved sheep that have returned to the shepherd.  RIP Irma.

2005  Seems like yesterday and yet so long ago.  Nicole was at Albion and it was sib's weekend.  So, Rachelle went and spent the weekend with Nicole.  I don't imagine the larger universities do that but I'm sure the other smaller colleges do.  They had a great time.  Now Rachelle is getting married this year and life goes on.

0037 - The Roman Senate annuls Tiberius’ will and proclaims Caligula emperor. This might be history repeating itself.  Rejecting  a leader for another.

Belarus
In 2000 Belarus and Russia signed a treaty for greater cooperation, with some hints of forming a Union State. Over 70% of Belarus's population of 9.49 million resides in urban areas. More than 80% of the population is ethnic Belarusian, with sizable minorities of RussiansPoles and Ukrainians. Since a referendum in 1995, the country has had two official languages: Belarusian and Russian. The Constitution of Belarus does not declare any official religion, although the primary religion in the country is Eastern Orthodox Christianity. The second most widespread religion, Roman Catholicism, has a much smaller following; nevertheless, Belarus celebrates both Orthodox and Catholic versions of Christmas and Easter as national holidays.[25] Belarus is the only European country to retain capital punishment in both law and practice.[26]  Two  things stand out here for me.  First I like the idea
of celebrating Christmas and Easter twice.  The other is, how can a country declare itself
Christian and still live under the law of capital punishment?  You can let me know your answer
on this.

Isaiah 53:6  "We are the ones who strayed away like sheep!  We, who left God's paths to follow our own.  Yet God laid on him the guilt and sins of every one of us!"  Jesus told the story of the shepherd that left his 99 sheep to go and look for the one that was lost.  I can see this scenario acting out in Ireland - where I am sure many sheep will stray today.   God doesn't get lost - we do.  Don't lose your way today - keep your GPS on God while you celebrate.

The third article of the creed - "I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins and the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting."  Only the spirit, which we receive in baptism can help you understand and strengthen you for the faith.

Proverbs 14:21  "He who has mercy on the poor, happy is he."  We all question the guy's purpose, standing on the street corner, we always believe he is looking for money for a drug habit.  It is't always the case but how do we know.  More people I know are carrying a stash of non perishable food, packages of health and personal care items and water for these purposes.  During the season of lent many take up the act of giving and caring rather than self sacrifice.  Something to think about.

It is important to stay in the community of God with others.  God created our world so we would depend on him and take care of each other.  Jesus, Son of God was born into humanity to be with us and he returned to us after his death on the cross.  He is resurrected from the dead and is still in community with us and will be forever.  Praise to God our Father.

2002  Today is my big brother Andy's birthday, he is 75 but on this day 15 years ago he was only 60.
They were down from Roscommon to celebrate his birthday.  We had a party on Friday night for cousins and today we had prime rib dinner.  Andy went to breakfast with Lindsey while Alice and I raced around getting bread from Breadsmith and other good stuff.  These years are markers and we are still here making more memories.  We can't be together this year but I will call him and think about him all day.  Happy Birthday Andy! I love you!

1190 - The Crusaders began the massacre of Jews in York, England. We need to remember that hate has not been limited to one specific people or place or time.  The devil has been active forever.

Belarus
Found this in the paper today, Macomb Daily  "A protestor holds an overturned portrait of Belorussian President Alexander Lukashenko during a rally in Minsk, Belarus, on Wednesday.  Wednesday's march in the capital demonstrations against the law that obliges citizens to pay the equivalent of $250 if they work less than half the year and do not register with state labor exchanges." It seems strange to me that wherever we are studying that month, something usually pops up in the newspaper.  Do you think I just notice it because I'm studying it?

I am trying something called Scriptural Meditation - Lectio Divina.  My verse today was Matthew 11:28-30.  Very appropriate for where I am right now. "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.  Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.  For my yoke is easy my burden light."  As the practice requires I will read and meditate on this a number of times till I feel and know it.  Try it

On this day
2001 - I made soup and baked bread to take to the shop for the guy's lunch the next day.  I did that for a long time for both companies I worked for and even last summer for the seasonal business I worked for.  I guess I am a feeder.  I quit cooking for Clancy's when the guy's started complaining that my food wasn't spicy enough or that they could do better and then they did.  And I just ate, but never complained.  I'm not stupid.

1901 - German Chancellor von Bulow declared that an agreement between Russia and China over Manchuria would violate the Anglo-German accord of October 1900. These two powers have a long history of agreeing and disagreeing with each other.  Power struggle, as usual.

Belarus
The parliament of the republic declared the sovereignty of Belarus on 27 July 1990, and during the dissolution of the Soviet Union, Belarus declared independence on 25 August 1991.[17] Alexander Lukashenko has served as the country's president since 1994. Belarus has been labeled "Europe's last dictatorship" by some Western journalists,[18][19] on account of Lukashenko's self-described authoritarian style of government.[20][21][22] Lukashenko continued a number of Soviet-era policies, such as state ownership of large sections of the economy. Elections under Lukashenko's rule have been widely criticized as unfair by the international community; and according to many countries and organizations, political opposition has been violently suppressed.[23][24][25] Belarus's Democracy Index rating was the lowest in Europe until 2014 (when it was passed by Russia), the country is labelled as "not free" by Freedom House, as "repressed" in the Index of Economic Freedom, and is rated as by far the worst country for press freedom in Europe in the 2013–14 Press Freedom Index published by Reporters Without Borders, which ranks Belarus 157th out of 180 nations.[26]  This is a very young country that declared its independence in 1991.  It did not how
ever become independent as it had a President Lukashenko who appeared to be more of
a dictator.  This info ^ is not very promising.

2 Corinthians 4:16  Therefore we do not lose heart.  The Christians I know have remarkable ability to recover.  I can tell you a million references, but suffice it to say they have something extra going for them.  When bad things happen, they see God's hand on it and  trust it will eventually be alright.  What do people do when they don't have this safety net?  They take anti depressants, go to therapists, and sometime, in extreme situations take their own lives.  I realize these are "some" cases, not all - but why gamble that you will be one that can't handle it?  Get some faith.  God provides.

The Creed; The second Article; (my belief)
I believe in Jesus Christ, God's only Son, our Lord who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended to the dead.  On the third day he rose again; he ascended into heaven, he is seated at the right hand of the Father, and he will come to judge the living and the dead.  All of the stories of Jesus' walk on earth are good to hear, but the only one that matters in all is that he died and God raised Him from the dead, for YOU.  If you need to know more, ask.

2000  Nicole was a freshman in high school.  If you have experience you know that no sooner does one sport season finish, but another one starts.  Nicole started out in September playing basketball, then went to Volleyball in the winter and now, in March she started soft ball.  She was a great short stop and rarely struck out.  The coach saw her talent and she was in.  I loved softball and had been her assistant coach since she started at 5 on city league.  Things change and they have to be allowed to choose for themselves.  This was freshman year and she went to practice on this day.

1489 - Catherine Cornaro, Queen of Cyprus, sold her kingdom to Venice. She was the last of the Lusignan dynasty.   Wonder what a dynasty went for in those days?

Belarus
In the aftermath of the 1917 Russian Revolution, Belarus declared independence as the Belarusian People's Republic, which was conquered by Soviet Russia. The Socialist Soviet Republic of Byelorussia became a founding constituent republic of the Soviet Union in 1922 and was renamed as the Byelorussian Soviet Socialist Republic (Byelorussian SSR). Belarus lost almost half of its territory to Poland after the Polish–Soviet War of 1919–1921. Much of the borders of Belarus took their modern shape in 1939, when some lands of the Second Polish Republic were reintegrated into it after the Soviet invasion of Poland, and were finalized after World War II.[12][13][14] During WWII, military operations devastated Belarus, which lost about a third of its population and more than half of its economic resources.[15] The republic was redeveloped in the post-war years. In 1945 the Byelorussian SSR became a founding member of the United Nations, along with the Soviet Union and the Ukrainian SSR.[16]  This is pretty recent history as Belarus was always run by others and fell under their
stories of history.

Walking today.  It is the best thing to do when you don't feel like anything else.

Get Faith
Isaiah 41:10  "Do not be dismayed.  I am your God.  I will strengthen you, I will help you.."  Too often we lose faith and courage with daily life.  We all do.  The difference is some of us turn to the Lord for help and we get it.  You only have to ask God to help and keep believing he will.

The Creed - I believe in God the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.  When people ask me what I believe in as a Christian, I find it easiest to recite the Apostles Creed, slowly and deliberately so they know it isn't just a remembered passage that we chant, without thinking.  So, think about that "I believe in God the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth."  I do and all that that refers to, that he IS  the almighty, THE creator of everything I know - heaven and earth and all that entails. How about you?

Belarus
Let's expand our knowledge.  I just ran out of Zhodzina.
Belarus (Listeni/bɛləˈrs/ bel-ə-roossBelarusianБелару́сьlat. BiełaruśIPA: [bʲɛlaˈrusʲ]RussianБеларусьtr. BelaruśIPA: [bʲɪlɐˈrusʲ]), officially the Republic of Belarus (BelarusianРэспубліка БеларусьRussianРеспублика Беларусь), formerly known by its Russian name Byelorussia or Belorussia (RussianБелоруссия; though this name is no longer used in Belarus itself, even in the Russian language[citation needed]), is a landlocked country in Eastern Europe[8] bordered by Russia to the northeast, Ukraine to the south, Poland to the west, and Lithuania and Latvia to the northwest. Its capital and most populous city is Minsk. Over 40% of its 207,600 square kilometres (80,200 sq mi) is forested. Its strongest economic sectors are service industries and manufacturing.[9] Until the 20th century, different states at various times controlled the lands of modern-day Belarus, including the Principality of Polotsk (11th to 14th centuries), the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth, and the Russian Empire. It is an interesting history.

March 12, 2017 Sunday #SoManyRiverstoCross

Instead of my regular blog I am sharing this with you:

After watching a Public TV special today on Slavery History in our country, I'm horrified and disgusted by the behavior of human beings, of those black people in Africa who sold their own people into slavery, of white Americans that bought them and chained them into 500 years of slavery and mostly of Christians that not only turned a blind eye but embraced it as their right.  It also reminded me that none of the human beings in history are innocent of these crimes.

This is not to discount the importance of the Black/United States story on slavery.  It was the very worse story in our shared common recent history.  It was the Black American peoples history of disparity and cruelty, a beginning of ruining an entire captive race, of pride and responsibility and most of all a say in their own future.  Stories like this always remind us of our own histories and how lucky we are or aren't depending on the color of our skin.

It was - a tarnished history of greed, malice and contempt belonging to white Americans.  This era in the history of our country, if it isn't already - should be served up with a healthy dose of self serving guilt.  As Christians - only the Grace of God can forgive those who supplied and served under this horrific time in our joined communal history.

Do not leave me here - I'm not claiming any resemblance to what the black story has been - but perhaps a small insight into a better future.

My mother was born in Germany and came here in 1923 with her German father and Polish mother and older brother.  They immigrated here - had their names changed at Ellis Island and found their way to Detroit Michigan.  Two other children were born to the family.  They settled in East Detroit where there was a Lutheran Church and school.  My mother lived most of her life in that area and was buried in the cemetery at that church just prior to her 94th birthday, next to her father and mother, husband and son.  They were privileged to be white and have those choices.

My German grandfather had a problem with his homeland.  My mother told me he said they would speak English and forget their German history.  Something had happened - he wanted to forget.  There is a pall on the family, a sadness and an inability to get along with each other.  The four siblings grew up and apart.  They became tradesmen and blue collar workers.  There was very little communication and I often noticed a hostility between them.  The next generation, myself and my cousins, struggle to stay in touch.  I'm so happy for social media, it is bridging that gap in our estranged family history.  Again, I know my relatives, our family history and the choices they made. Many have been deprived of knowing their roots.

My father was born in England from parents that were born and spent  years living in Glasgow Scotland.  Dad came to Detroit as a teenager and went to Cass High School.  My father and his four siblings, also here from Scotland, thrived, and  had families that stayed in community together.  I can't attest to the entire family but my father was not a bigot.  My mother was until the very last year of her life when the deep caring love of her black caregivers in the nursing industry changed her mind.  The Scottish side were not practicing Christians.  They were not without family scrabbles, but they supported and maintained relationships.  My cousins and I from that side of my family stay in touch on a regular basis.  I celebrate my Scottish heritage and have visited Scotland twice. Choices I made.

I share this life story from myself for a reason.  I don't distance myself from the guilt of those whites guilty of that sad historical time.  It was my generic DNA also - people that I am born of that race.  I have tried, having lived in the Detroit area all of my life to not be racially profiling - I remind myself, often, that educational and financial resources are a bigger social division than skin color.  I choose to be Scottish - non-biased, caring, family oriented and a practicing Christian.  I choose a heritage of choices.  A lot of black Americans have still not had that opportunity.

My wish for the American black race that I share this country with is that you choose reunion not hate, education and, family over isolation.  Be a free person not an ex-slave to your history.  Celebrate your culture - your unique life style and choose the better part of your heritage and choose a better life for your future and the descendants you will make.  I have tried to be a person that honors the choices others make and believe my daughter, my descendant, will be on your side and that of any person that is deprived of the right to make decisions for themselves.

I pray, with the help of a forgiving God that our futures are better working, sharing and enjoying the United States of America -  with each other in peace and joy.  That's my choice, I hope it is yours.

Isaiah 44:3  "I will pour my Spirit upon your descendants, and my blessing on your offspring."  He has already done this for me.  His gifts are never ending.

Luther reminds us that the law is followed, first, by a warning or what happens to those who do not obey the commandments (and you are not a follower of the Lord).  He then goes on to reveal that in Jesus Christ we are saved by grace because we are a follower of God and believe in our Saviour Jesus Christ.

The study writer added this admonishment by Dr Seuss, The Lorax:
"But now," says the Once-ler....
UNLESS someone like you
cares a whole awful lot,
nothing is going to get better,
It's not."

Share the Gospel so it can get better.

1997  Was a normal day.  Nicole to school, I worked.  There was mention that I was working on a cross stitch (something) for my friend Gerry.  I have done a very few of these in my life but have no recollection of one for Gerry.  I'll have to ask and see if she remembers.

1997 - An explosion at a nuclear waste reprocessing plant caused 35 workers to be exposed to low levels of radioactivity. The incident was the worst in Japan's history.  I feel like if this is the worse thing that happened (35) they have been lucky, not to discount the lives of 35 but it has been much worse in other places.

March 10, 2017 Friday #Dance!#IloveGod#donotcovet#memories!

Get Fit
In trying to get my energy up I tried a little disco with Richard.  There has been a lot of talk about Richard being missing lately.  Someone suggested his housekeeper had him locked away against his wishes. ??  Maybe he just put on a lot of weight and doesn't want us to know that.  C'mon Richard get back to the disco!

Psalm 63; 6-7  "I lie awake at night thinking of you - of how much you have helped me - and how I rejoice through the night beneath the protecting shadow of your wings."  This is a declaration of love to God, a true statement of devotion to Him as he is devoted to you.  His protection is so apparent to me.  Take this to your heart too - His unconditional love is yours also.

10th Commandment .  This always seems a continuation of the 9th, but is apparently important enough to be separate.  The explanation is:  We are to fear and love God, so that we do not entice, force or steal away from our neighbors their spouses, household workers or livestock, but instead urge them to stay and fulfill their responsibilities to our neighbors.  Good advice!

1996 excerpt :  "STARTED HORMONES  (in caps, very important!)  shower breakfast church @ 8:30 and Bible Study   home  Boss called   lunch Nicole & I out to the Boss's house - Doug and Denise, Nick &  Annie and kids there  Doug pulled kids in sled w/ 4 wheeler  Snowmobile - hot dogs  home  worked on dollhouse."  This is a memory for my daughter, a rare occasion, in the early days of my employment when we all got along (sort of) and the boss was still being nice.  I believe that might be the last day I drove a snowmobile. AND  there was a lot of snow for March 10th.  I was on those hormones for 20+ years and unhappy when I had to quite because the insurance wouldn't cover them anymore.  Mom had given Nicole and I a dollhouse to build for Christmas, so we did.

1906 - In France, 1,200 miners were buried in an explosion at Courrieres. 100 years before this happened.  The Courrières mine disaster, Europe's worst mining accident, caused the death of 1,099 miners in Northern France on 10 March 1906.[

March 9, 2017 Thursday #Pilates#His#loveyourown#linedancing&karate#poorNastassia!

Get fit
A little Pilates goes a long way.  They are looking for a certified instructor at a  Pilates place near me. No I won't apply but it seems like a good job! Exercise, help others and get paid.  Win/win!

Proverbs 2:8 "For he guards the course of the just and protects the way of his faithful ones."  Even if you have lost your way and haven't been as faithful as you should - He still guards His own.  I do believe that is the only reason I have reached the age of 70.

9th commandment  "Thou shall not covet your neighbors house."  I drive by houses and look and think "why couldn't I have a house like that?"  Then I remember, I have a nice house that suits me just fine.  We all covet at one time or another.  Cars, I like other peoples cars.  A Mercedes would be nice. It is human nature, I try to remind myself often of what I do have and how blessed I am.  It's true.  Thank you God!

It is Lent - stay in the right frame of mind.  Repent and return to God.  Remember your sins and remember why you are saved.  God forgave you in Christ Jesus.

1995 - excerpt "exercised, shower (made) lunch (made) breakfast worked Boss (and 2 sons) to Tampa for Convention (I loved when they went out of town - whew!) home (took Nicole to) karate  dinner  Andy & Alice over (we) went line dancing  home 11:00."  It was so much fun to line dance.  Andy and Alice got real good at it and then enjoyed the couple dancing after.  I had recently divorced so single line dancing worked just fine for me.

1995 - The Canadian Navy arrested a Spanish trawler for illegally fishing off of Newfoundland. Wow they couldn't hardly claim they had drifted off their regular place could they?

So if you to Google and type in tension bank workout you can find exercises to use one.  It adds a little dimension to normal squats or bicep curls or whatever.  It is relatively cheap, easy to store and gives you another options to your possibly stagnant workouts.

Romans 5:3-5  "Tribulation brings about perseverance; and perseverance, proven character, and proven character, hope; and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy spirit who was given to us."  This is an excellent reading for lent. To build up your strength.  I like the study writers last line. "He can also forgive our poor choices and point our feet in His direction so we can live new lives filled with His hope and joy. "  Yes what she said.

8th Commandment  Thou shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.  And, who is your neighbor?  That's right, everyone.  The very worse thing about lying is having to remember what you said and to who.  If it sounds like I have history with this - you are right.  You have to be a saint to not  have ever said anything bad to or about anyone, especially an untruth.  Be kind and speak favorably about everyone.  If you can't think of something nice to say.  hmm  shut up.

1990 excerpt "Nicole to Mom's = Co-op had beach day (wish I had the picture of Nicole with her heart shaped sunglasses on here)  (I) worked at Q (uality)  called Pete  Optical for new glasses on way home (at?) Marilyn Katzs' husband Larry  - home, Marty ordered pizza  NJ stopped by - Alice called."  There are great pictures of this day of Mom and Nicole in beach apparel posing for pictures!
