March 16, 2017 Thursday #Fit Faith and Family are the topics today!!!

Get Fit
Abs and Arms got through about 15-20 minutes.  The one back muscle is the problem but I feel it is better to use it - easily.  For those of you with a knee problem, worse thing is to baby it - keep it moving.  Don't abuse it but keep it moving.  If you rest you rust.

Get Faith
Proverbs 14:21  "He who has mercy on the poor, happy is he."  We all question the guy's purpose, standing on the street corner, we always believe he is looking for money for a drug habit.  It is't always the case but how do we know.  More people I know are carrying a stash of non perishable food, packages of health and personal care items and water for these purposes.  During the season of lent many take up the act of giving and caring rather than self sacrifice.  Something to think about.

It is important to stay in the community of God with others.  God created our world so we would depend on him and take care of each other.  Jesus, Son of God was born into humanity to be with us and he returned to us after his death on the cross.  He is resurrected from the dead and is still in community with us and will be forever.  Praise to God our Father.

On this day
2002  Today is my big brother Andy's birthday, he is 75 but on this day 15 years ago he was only 60.
They were down from Roscommon to celebrate his birthday.  We had a party on Friday night for cousins and today we had prime rib dinner.  Andy went to breakfast with Lindsey while Alice and I raced around getting bread from Breadsmith and other good stuff.  These years are markers and we are still here making more memories.  We can't be together this year but I will call him and think about him all day.  Happy Birthday Andy! I love you!

1190 - The Crusaders began the massacre of Jews in York, England. We need to remember that hate has not been limited to one specific people or place or time.  The devil has been active forever.

Belarus
Found this in the paper today, Macomb Daily  "A protestor holds an overturned portrait of Belorussian President Alexander Lukashenko during a rally in Minsk, Belarus, on Wednesday.  Wednesday's march in the capital demonstrations against the law that obliges citizens to pay the equivalent of $250 if they work less than half the year and do not register with state labor exchanges." It seems strange to me that wherever we are studying that month, something usually pops up in the newspaper.  Do you think I just notice it because I'm studying it?

Enjoy the day!  Make it memorable! Happy Birthday Andy!
