April 4, 2016 Monday #Kickin#Proverbs#evacuation#wisdom#pool!

Get Fit
Going to start the week kickin'  -    country.  It's a good energizing moves to achy breaky heart!  Well you go ahead and do your thing!

Get Faith
Proverbs 4:20-22  Proverbs is your mother lecturing you.  "Listen and take it to heart"  I like the study writer's mention of Voltaire who once said that in a hundred years, the Bible would be a forgotten book, found only in museums.  When the hundred years were up, however, Voltaire's home was occupied by the Geneva Bible Society:  Ha!

On this day
1975 - An unusual day to remember that John, Jim and I were the only ones in the office that day.  To be honest - I was probably the one that missed the most time in those days.  I'm sure after working with those two I needed to go out with a friendly face.  Waynette and I went to the Red Lobster for dinner, I guess they were around back then.

1975 - More than 130 people, most of them children, were killed when a U.S. Air Force transport plane evacuating Vietnamese orphans crashed just after takeoff from Saigon. There were many sad storied of this type during those days.

Parenting
Where do you think most parental wisdoms come from?  Right, the Bible.  If you are looking for a good comeback to some of your children's remarks Proverbs is your book.  If nothing else they will look at you in confusion, but you will be satisfied knowing that your wisdom is thousands of years old.  Can't beat that!
