Get Faith
Acts chapter 8  "But Saul was ravaging the church by entering house after house; dragging off both men and women, he committed them to prison."  The early church was under fire, the people were killed and imprisoned and even fed to the lions in arenas- but the church survived.  Now the church is losing due to a lack of interest - by a people that no longer need God.  I pray that good people of God will stand up and praise their God again, gather in His name to raise their children and reach out to those who do not know the salvation and peace of the Lord.  Amen.  Come oh Great Holy Trinity.

On this day
1973 - On this day I left early to catch a plane into Toronto for my co worker and best friend Christine's father's funeral.  the first thing I remember is that the flight in was horrible.  It was a small commuter plane and the guy next to me almost cut off the blood supply to my hand he was holding it so tight.  When we got there I asked him if it was his first flight and he said he flew back and forth to Toronto from Windsor almost everyday.  Wow.   I was happy to be with Chris and her family for this sad event of Sotir Anastis passing.  Our boss thought it better if I go then him and paid my way.

1487 - The War of the Roses ended with the Battle of Stoke.

Bhutan

Conservation[edit]

The Eastern Himalayas have been identified as a global biodiversity hotspot and counted among the 234 globally outstanding ecoregions of the world in a comprehensive analysis of global biodiversity undertaken by WWF between 1995 and 1997.
According to the Swiss-based International Union for Conservation of Nature, Bhutan is viewed as a model for proactive conservationinitiatives. The Kingdom has received international acclaim for its commitment to the maintenance of its biodiversity.[50] This is reflected in the decision to maintain at least sixty percent of the land area under forest cover, to designate more than 40%[51][52] of its territory as national parks, reserves and other protected areas, and most recently to identify a further nine percent of land area as biodiversity corridors linking the protected areas. All of Bhutan's protected land is connected to one another through a vast network of biological corridors, allowing animals to migrate freely throughout the country.[53] Environmental conservation has been placed at the core of the nation's development strategy, the middle path. It is not treated as a sector but rather as a set of concerns that must be mainstreamed in Bhutan's overall approach to development planning and to be buttressed by the force of law. The country's constitution mentions environment standards in multiple sections.[54]

Enjoy the day!  Make it memorable!
