June 17, 2019 Monday #Hellcannotprevail#CBradio#Promoteconservation!

Get Faith
Acts  "That day a severe persecution began against the church in Jerusalem, and all except the apostles were scattered throughout the countryside of Judea and Samaria."  They (the political powers at hand and the Jews) tried to eliminate the Christians - those who followed Jesus Christ.  They worked hard at it, especially Saul, who Jesus converted to Paul - he raided homes and dragged men and women to prison.  But as usual God had better plans and stronger means.  We Christians are still here, still worshiping the Triune God;  Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
This study writer said "Saul's fight against the church reminds us that the gates of hell cannot prevail against the church or against those who align themselves with Christ.  "  Are you with us?

On this day
1976  After work I got a hair cut and then went home and had dinner with Pete.  I still lived in Birmingham at the time and Chris lived a few block away.  We must have talked about it at work because Pete and I went to her house where she had her new travel trailer.  Pete hooked up the lights for the trailer with her husband Steve and also the CB radio.  Those were big at the time.  Chris and Steve were heading off on a vacation out west I think.

1799 - Napoleon Bonaparte incorporated Italy into his empire. We know that didn't last

Bhutan
Although Bhutan's natural heritage is still largely intact, the government has said that it cannot be taken for granted and that conservation of the natural environment must be considered one of the challenges that will need to be addressed in the years ahead.[55] Nearly 56.3% of all Bhutanese are involved with agriculture, forestry or conservation.[54] The government aims to promote conservation as part of its plan to target Gross National Happiness. It currently has net zero greenhouse gas emissions because the small amount of pollution it creates is absorbed by the forests that cover most of the country.[56] While the entire country collectively produces 2.2 million tons of carbon dioxide a year, the immense forest covering 72% of the country acts as a carbon sink, absorbing more than four million tons of carbon dioxide every year.[53  Ecologically sound thinking.

Enjoy the day!  Make it memorable!  Happy birthday Annalise!!
