Get Faith
Acts chapter 8  "As they were going along the road, they came to some water, and the eunuch said, "Look, here is water.  What is to prevent me from being baptized?"  He commanded the chariot to stop, and both of them, Philip and the eunuch, went down into the water and Philip baptized him."
Philip had been telling the Ethiopian about the good news of Jesus Christ as they traveled the road back to Ethiopia.  We are called to reach out, wherever, whenever to whoever we can and be the hands and heart of Jesus to those who need to hear the word.

On this day
1977  Pete and I went down to the boat and over to my cousin Kay and Walt's (they lived on a canal) for my Uncle Jack and Aunt Annie's 40th wedding anniversary.  They were a wonderful couple and I remember when they were up in Port Sanilac at their cottages they would walk on the beach every night, holding hands.  I always thought how nice it would be to have that special love for one another.  I also remember that it was a pretty good party, more for the offspring then the elders.

1429 - French forces defeated the English at the battle of Patay. The English had been retreating after the siege of Orleans. I hope you realize that all of our history that they have recorded and pass down is in regard to war - it is who we are.

Bhutan
Bhutan has a number of progressive environmental policies that have caused the head of the UNFCCC to call it an "inspiration and role model for the world on how economies and different countries can address climate change while at the same time improving the life of the citizen." [57] For example, electric cars have been pushed in the country and as of 2014 make up a tenth of all cars. Because the country gets most of its energy from hydroelectric power, it does not emit significant greenhouse gases for energy production.[56]  What a great role model for us.

Enjoy the the day!  Make it memorable!  Happy Birthday Emilio, Leslie and Tom!
