Get Faith
Acts chapter 21  "While they were trying to kill him, word came to the tribune of the cohort that all Jerusalem was in an uproar.  Immediately he took soldiers and centurions and ran down to them.  When they saw the tribune and soldiers, they stopped beating Paul..  Then the tribune came, arrested him, and ordered him to be bound with two chains, he inquired  who he was and what he had done."
Sounds like something on the 6 o'clock news.  Instead of arresting the crowd for beating a man they arrest the man without knowing his crime or identity.  The Jews and Romans had a love/hate relationship I think IE. everyone needs someone to hate, right?   Paul knew what his future was and probably only hoped he had done as much to spread the gospel in thanks to his Savior Jesus Christ.

On this day
1980  Before I even went to work my old beau Denny called.  Work was always busy at the beginning of the month with billing.  Alex Blaine called at work, probably for a lunch date, we usually met at the Bell Bar, but I was too busy.  At home I mowed the lawn and got a call from a friends boyfriend, she and Charlie had broke up and he was really broken up.  He came over to cry on my shoulder -- but she didn't see it that way.  So I went from the 6 o'clock news to a soap opera, sounds about right for my life in those days.

1775 - Hannah, the first American war vessel was commissioned by General George Washington. And so the navy would be born.
