September 6, 2019 Friday #Prepare#MrPaul'sChophouse#desolate

Get Faith
Acts 27  "Since much time had been lost and sailing was now dangerous, because even the Fast had already gone by, Paul advised them, saying "Sirs, I can see that the voyage will be with danger and much heavy loss, not only of the cargo and the ship, but also of our lives."  Paul knew his destiny, he knew that his time was almost up and he had inside information sent from God.  I'm sure at this point he was reaching out with the Gospel to all those on the ship.  We should examine our own lives and make sure we are doing all we can to prepare ourselves and share with others for this life and the next.

On this day
1984  I was pregnant with Nicole but did not know it yet.  Mark's favorite place to go was Mr Paul's Chophouse, so after work - on a Thursday that's where we went for dinner and drinks - too many drinks.  I noted that we had to bring Ty home a Caesar salad - theirs is the best.  Two days later I took the test and found out I was pregnant and quit drinking and smoking.

1837 - The Oberlin Collegiate Institute of Ohio went co-educational.  Hard to think of a time when schools weren't co-educational.
