May 11, 2019 Saturday#Getfaith#Mothersday#Bigtree!

Get Faith
Luke chapter 5  "The Pharisees and their scribes were complaining to his disciples saying, "Why do you eat and drink with tax collectors and sinners?"  Jesus answered, "Those who are well have no need of a a physician, but those who are sick; I have come to call not the righteous but sinners to repentance."    Let's face it, if you are doing well, and happy - have everything you need in life than what more do you need?  So you are good for the next 40, 60, 80 years?  If that is all you care about then go ahead and enjoy your wellness, but if you ever feel you just might be missing something, pick up your Bible.  Get faith.

On this day
1980  It was Mothers Day and I called My Aunt Annie, my Grandma, Pete's Mom and Grandma, I think my Mom was living with me at the time because later I BBQ'd and Andy and Adele brought the girls over for dinner.  Andy and I had to drive Mark back to Kalamazoo after dinner, he was going to school over there.  He got a degree in computer language.  It must have been a good day for my Mom to have had all her children and grandchildren with her on this day.  Good memory.

1647 - Peter Stuyvesant arrived in New Amsterdam to become governor. Maybe we should go back to importing politicians?

Nepal

Etymology[edit]
Kathmandu is not the native name used by the indigenous Nepa people of the valley. The term "Nepa-al" means "land of the Nepa people" and was traditionally used to refer this valley.[5]
The Pahari name Kathmandu comes from a structure in Durbar Square called by the Sanskrit name Kāsṣtha mandapa "Wooden shelter". This unique temple, also known as the Maru Sattal, was built in 1596 by King Lakshminarasimha Malla. The entire structure contained no iron nails or supports and was made entirely from wood. Legend has it that the timber used for this two-story pagoda was obtained from a single tree.  That is amazing and must have been an enormous tree.

Enjoy the day!  Make it Memorable!  Happy Birthday Matt
