The golden rule and you thought it was made up by some elementary teacher. No, these are given from Christ - lessons for this life. We treasure our belongings on this earth but God treasures us and we will not need this stuff in His world. You can't take it with you and sharing is the right answer. Love thy neighbor as thyself!
On this day
1984 Mark and I had married the month before but we still had room mates at the Lodge (my house), Tom Rocco that I worked with still lived with us. I had dropped off Tom at the car dealership to pick up his car on the way to work. The boss, Jim, was off work at a funeral and Chris was in the hospital after a miner surgery. You know those days when there is so much going on that you aren't sure which end is up? We were still action central.

Nepal
On 1 June 2001, there was a massacre in the royal palace. King Birendra, Queen Aishwarya and seven other members of the royal family were killed. The alleged perpetrator was Crown Prince Dipendra, who allegedly committed suicide (he died three days later) shortly thereafter. This outburst was alleged to have been Dipendra's response to his parents' refusal to accept his choice of wife. Nevertheless, there is speculation and doubts among Nepali citizens about who was responsible. If it hasn't been made into a movie it should be, very much like the Russian murder of Tzar Nicholas and family.
