Get Faith
Galatians chapter 5  "By contrast, the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against such things."  Why no law for those things?  Because they are all good things for you to have and would create such a wonderful world if all people owned those things,  and so the law has no place here.  I admit that  it is easier to keep those things as I get older.  There were certainly times when I was out of control in my life and also remember the turmoil my life was in because of it.  It is a blessing to be in the fruit of the Spirit now.  "O Holy Spirit, you who fill us with the fruit of your Spirit, turn me from all wickedness and vain deceit and let me walk in your ways only."

On this day
2014  Was a Saturday.  While cleaning house my neighbor came over, very upset about her oldest son and the trouble he was having.  He hasn't to this day improved his condition much.  He is an alcoholic and consequently makes very bad decisions.  I am always glad to listen as I have had a lot of experience with many people having this illness.  Later in the afternoon I went to Brownies to see old friends from the boat racing days.  Chris and her husband Tim were there, Red and Big Wave.  Those were ones I would have gone anywhere to see and still would.  When I got home Mom and I went to Pepperoni Grill for dinner - had to make sure Mom got out and got fed.  She wasn't too hard to please.  How are you keeping in  contact with friends?  It is really important.

1553 - Fifteen-year-old Lady Jane Grey was deposed as Queen of England after claiming the crown for nine days. Mary, the daughter of King Henry VIII, was proclaimed Queen.   Wow!  how many 15 year olds can lay claim to that??

Escalante Philippines

Biodiversity

Philippine tarsier (Tarsius syrichta), one of the smallest primates.
The Philippines' rainforests and its extensive coastlines make it home to a diverse range of birds, plants, animals, and sea creatures.[372] It is one of the ten most biologically megadiverse countries.[373][374][375] Around 1,100 land vertebrate species can be found in the Philippines including over 100 mammal species and 170 bird species not thought to exist elsewhere.[376] The Philippines has among the highest rates of discovery in the world with sixteen new species of mammals discovered in the last ten years. Because of this, the rate of endemism for the Philippines has risen and likely will continue to rise.[377] Native mammals include the palm civet cat, the dugong, the cloud rat and the Philippine tarsier associated with Bohol.
Although the Philippines lacks large mammalian predators, it does have some very large reptiles such as pythons and cobras, together with gigantic saltwater crocodiles. The largest crocodile in captivity, known locally as Lolong, was captured in the southern island of Mindanao.[378][379] The national bird, known as the Philippine eagle, has the longest body of any eagle; it generally measures 86 to 102 cm (2.82 to 3.35 ft) in length and weighs 4.7 to 8.0 kg (10.4 to 17.6 lb).[380][381] The Philippine eagle is part of the Accipitridae family and is endemic to the rainforests of LuzonSamarLeyte and Mindanao.
Sounds like a breeding ground that should be preserved.

Enjoy the day!  Make it memorable!
