August 11, 2019 Sunday #OneGod#BassLake#Sprinkler!#BushlandtoTransportation

Get Faith
1 Corinthians chapter 1  "Paul....to the church of God that is in Corinth....Now I appeal to you, brothers and sisters, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you be in agreement and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be united in the same mind and the same purpose.."  I say good luck Paul.  Since the beginning of time we have not found a way to cooperate or agree on anything.  It is one of those conundrums - we cannot even agree to disagree.  But we need to agree on our Triune God - Father, Son and Holy Spirit, one God.  Whether Roman Catholic, Presbyterian, Baptist, Lutheran or whatever - that one thing must not separate us.  God is all.

On this day
2001   Bass Lake  I picked up a 15 person van from  Milne and Cheryl Ford, Bruce Udell and I took 16 kids up for 4 days of camping.  Nicole and Adam were up at Michu Lu Ca already because they had attended Leadership Training School  (LTS) the previous week.  This might have been my first trip up for camping.  There was an Australian skill shop, I remember the didgeridoo, and Leona ? and I went to the beach swimming.  Celia Whitaker was the musical head liner.  So many good years and memories.

1874 - A patent for the sprinkler head was given to Harry S. Parmelee. I'm sure it was for agricultural purposes but the kids sure appreciate it on a hot summer day.

Fairfield Australia

Geography[edit]

Location map of Fairfield based on NASA satellite images
Much of the original bushland cover within the City has been cleared through past land management practices. A few small areas of this original bushland remain, including examples of Cumberland Plain vegetation, which is listed under the Threatened Species Conservation Act. The Australian white ibis are specifically present in The Crescent, opposite of the train station.
Eight creeks, 80 kilometres in length, have their headwaters in Fairfield City and flow into the Georges River and Hawkesbury Nepean catchments. The impact of development over the past 50 years has resulted in severe degradation of the natural habitat in the creek banks and water qualityhas been assessed as very poor in recent years. Strategies are being implemented so that this trend is being reversed. Air quality in the City is heavily impacted upon by an insufficiently integrated public transport system, creating an over reliance upon private vehicles for moving people and freight.  As always, with progress comes problems.

Enjoy the day!  Make it memorable!  Happy Birthday Pat and Brett!
