Get Faith
Romans chapter 4  "Now to one who works, wages are not reckoned as a gift but as something due.  But to one who without works trusts him who justifies the ungodly, such faith is reckoned as righteousness."  You cannot earn God's love by being good or doing good works - it is God's love that gives you your faith to believe in that gift of love.  All good gifts are from heaven above.  Our Father wants us to have what we need in abundance, you need to have that faith to believe that.

On this day
1974  Don't judge me, it was a Monday and I called in sick, my journal says I had a bad cold.  But, later that day Pete called and said we had tickets to the Chicago concert at Pine Knob with friends.  They were really good tickets and what I remember is that it was soooooo loud and we were up front. Miraculously healed.

1498 - Michelangelo was commissioned to make the "Pieta."

Literature[edit]

As the convict era passed—captured most famously in Marcus Clarke's For the Term of His Natural Life (1874), a seminal work of Tasmanian Gothic[34]—the bush and Australian daily life assumed primacy as subjects. Charles HarpurHenry Kendall and Adam Lindsay Gordon won fame in the mid-19th century for their lyric nature poems and patriotic verse. Gordon drew on Australian colloquy and idiom; Clarke assessed his work as "the beginnings of a national school of Australian poetry".[35] First published in serial form in 1882, Rolf Boldrewood's Robbery Under Arms is regarded as the classic bushranging novel.  Some good reading!

Enjoy the day!  Make it memorable!  Happy Birthday Pam!
