August 22, 2019 Thursday#Begenerous#Useitorloseit#Aboriginaltraditions!

Get Faith
2 Corinthians chapter 9  "Each of you must give as you have made up your mind, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver."  We should give out of our abundance, with a smile and not a look of smug satisfaction.  Most everyone I know gives generously - be it time, goods or material.  What you give is between you and God and of course the recipient.  It helps, I think for them to know that we give to honor our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ so that they know that is where our hearts are and our love for all people.  It really is better to give than to receive.

On this day
2017  I looked at my exercise sheet from this year and see that I was strong- exercising 6 days a week most of the time and so had the energy and strength to be busy.  This is my memo to self - get it back!
After my morning routine I went to Salvaggio's and then stopped over at my cousin Barb's with some lunch for her.  She had broke her leg/foot and was layed up for a horrible amount of time this year. Later my cousin Kathy picked me up and we went to O'Brien's for dinner, (love their smelt and perch) and later that evening Nicole got home from taking Kristin to Ohio to Trinity Seminary for her two year beginning to becoming a Pastor.  It seemed like it would be forever but now it is here and working out beautifully.  God is good.

1485 - The War of the Roses ended with the death of England's King Richard III. He was killed in the Battle of Bosworth Field. His successor was Henry V II. I think they named a movie after this....oh no.

Australia

Development of Australian culture[edit]

The oldest surviving cultural traditions of Australia—and some of the oldest surviving cultural traditions on earth—are those of Australia's Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Their ancestors have inhabited Australia for between 40,000 and 60,000 years, living a hunter-gatherer lifestyle. In 2006, the Indigenous population was estimated at 517,000 people, or 2.5 per cent of the total population.[5] Most Aboriginal Australians have a belief system based on the Dreaming, or Dream time, which refers both to a time when ancestral spirits created land and culture, and to the knowledge and practices that define individual and community responsibilities and identity.[6] Conflict and reconciliation between indigenous and non-indigenous Australians has been a source of much art and literature in Australia, and ancient Aboriginal artistic styles and iconic inventions such as the boomerang, the didgeridoo and Indigenous Australian music have become symbols of modern Australia.   Solid ancestry!

Enjoy the day!  Make it memorable!  Happy Birthday to Linda F,Lauren V,  Carmen, Ken W.  and Kevin H!!
