Get Faith
1 Timothy chapter 1  "First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for everyone, for kings and all who are in high positions, so that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and dignity."  Wow!  What does that tell us about our politicking these days?  I personally have lost confidence in our entire political system and those who are running it and want to run it.  Not one candidate stands out to me that would possibly fulfill the leadership in "a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and dignity".  What then can we do?  I think the first part of this "urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions" be made in our distress.  God bless the USA.

On this day
2016  Just another day in life.  It was a Monday, I had to have a repair man in to fix the dishwasher and then an appraiser came through.  I was trying to refinance the house.  Same ole, same ole.  Then in the evening the Women of the Church had a meet the Author and book signing for myself and Jayne who had written a children's book.  I have still had many calls from publishers who want to republish my book and sell it for me.  My reply is if they want to do that I am willing but not paying any more for it.  I get at least one call a week.  You have to have money to make money.

1901 - The Victor Talking Machine Company was incorporated. After a merger with Radio Corporation of America the company became RCA-Victor.  At my age I still remember this company and the records they produced.

Honolulu Hawaii
Honolulu is the remotest city of its size in the world,[8] and is the westernmost and southernmost major U.S. city. For statistical purposes, the United States Census Bureau recognizes the approximate area commonly referred to as "City of Honolulu" (not to be confused with the "City and County") as a census county division (CCD).[9] Honolulu is a major financial center of the islands and of the Pacific Ocean. The population of the Honolulu census designated place (CDP) was 359,870 as of the 2017 population estimate,[4] while the Honolulu CCD was 390,738[10] and the population of the consolidated city and county was 953,207.
Honolulu means "sheltered harbor"[11] or "calm port".[12] The old name is Kou, a district roughly encompassing the area from Nuʻuanu Avenue to Alakea Street and from Hotel Street to Queen Street which is the heart of the present downtown district.[13] The city has been the capital of the Hawaiian Islands since 1845 and gained historical recognition following the attack on Pearl Harbor by Japan near the city on December 7, 1941.
As of 2015, Honolulu was ranked high on world livability rankings, and was also ranked as the 2nd safest city in the U.S.[14][15] It is also the most populated Oceanian city outside Australasia and ranks second to Auckland as the most-populous city in Polynesia.[16][17]

Enjoy the day!  Make it memorable!  Happy Birthday to Danny, Jong and Peter!!
