Whew! a day of rest. I need it.
Revelation chapter 4 - Second time this week I have read from this book. It is more a vision of the future then a history lesson. This is about the throne on which our God sits. It is hard to describe something that there are no words for. The concept, I believe is way ahead of anything Hollywood has come up with. God wants you to be there with him. Holy Holy Holy.
On this day:
2001 - We packed up (16) kids and headed up to MichiLuCa for Bass lake camp. A 4 day retreat for high schoolers. I am not much on sleeping in tents so Russ Milne (who always loaned us vehicles for youth camps) gave me a full size van with a queen size bed and screened windows. Best deal ever. Wish I had been wearing a fit bit in those days to measure my steps, no cars allowed between sites on a very large camp experience. I miss it.
2002 - Aaron and Lisa McCarthy were married!
Parenting - Saw a cute message from someone today: Babies diapers are called Pampers, Luvs an Hug Ems. Adult diaper are called Depends. You will still love, pamper and hug a baby after changing the diaper, the adult depends on who's in the will. Maxine, you gotta love her.
Book Club - The Voyager by Diana Gabaldon. If you haven't seen something about the Outlander Series recently, you must live in a cave. Claire gets into so many situations!
Cairo - This is currently where peace talks are taking place regarding the Gaza strip. Pray for them.
