Get Faith
Revelation chapter 8  "Then I looked, and I heard an eagle crying with a loud voice as it flew in midheaven "Woe, woe, woe to the inhabitants of the earth, at the blasts of the other trumpets that the three angels are about to blow.""  This is pretty scary stuff coming from the book of Revelation, and it should always be scary.  This earth has heard the cry "woe, woe woe", so many times - during all the wars, during all the natural disasters, through crime and hate.  And we will be held accountable.  We are accountable for the sins we commit, that hurt others and damage our earth and especially those sins that separate ourselves and others from God.  But God has made a deal with us.  He has forgiven our sins so that when we are remorseful he brings us back to Himself.  Just as we know that there are responses to our sins - guilt, sorrow, jail time, etc - the children of God know they are forgiven to avoid the wrath of sin when the judgement day comes.

On this day
1986  It seems like I am always sick before holidays and there is good reason for that.  I over stress.  On this day Nicole, who was almost 18 mos had a cold and I had a sore throat.  What do you do in this situation?   I think the smart thing is for anyone not sick is to get out of the house.  So, Mark took Aaron bowling.  That was a good thing for a few reasons.  Mark had a tendency to spend too much time working and this was a good excuse for him to spend the day with his son.

1986 - An Iranian surface-to-surface missile hit a residential area in the Iraqi capital of Baghdad, wounding 20 civilians.

1986 - Attorney Generel Meese's office discovered a memo in Colonel Oliver North's office that included an amount of money to be sent to the Contras from the profits of weapons sales to Iran.

1986 - Mike Tyson became the youngest to wear the world heavyweight-boxing crown. He was only 20 years and 4 months old.

Well this was a buy day!!

Itagui Colombia
Indigenous people inhabited the territory that is now Colombia by 12,500 BCE. Nomadic hunter-gatherer tribes at the El AbraTibitó and Tequendama sites near present-day Bogotá traded with one another and with other cultures from the Magdalena River Valley.[21] Between 5000 and 1000 BCE, hunter-gatherer tribes transitioned to agrarian societies; fixed settlements were established, and pottery appeared. Beginning in the 1st millennium BCE, groups of Amerindians including the MuiscaZenúQuimbaya, and Tairona developed the political system of cacicazgos with a pyramidal structure of power headed by caciques. The Muisca inhabited mainly the area of what is now the Departments of Boyacá and Cundinamarca high plateau (Altiplano Cundiboyacense) where they formed the Muisca Confederation. They farmed maize, potato, quinoa, and cotton, and traded gold, emeralds, blankets, ceramic handicrafts, coca and especially rock salt with neighboring nations. The Tairona inhabited northern Colombia in the isolated mountain range of Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta.[22] The Quimbaya inhabited regions of the Cauca River Valley between the Western and Central Ranges of the Colombian Andes.[23] Most of the Amerindians practiced agriculture and the social structure of each indigenous community was different. Some groups of indigenous people such as the Caribs lived in a state of permanent war, but others had less bellicose attitudes.[24] The Incas expanded their empire onto the southwest part of the country.[25]
You need a dictionary to read this.

Enjoy the day!  Make it memorable!
