April 7, 2018 Saturday #Meditation#Prayer#loveandsupport#Montenegrinvictories!

Get Fit
Google Gaiam to find yoga video's that fit your life.  It is nice to start out at home if you are nervous about what you can achieve before you join a group.  I have a few yoga video's but my go to for every Saturday is AM yoga.  Ahhhh Good stretches to limber up for the day ahead!

Get Faith
Psalm 16:11  "You will make known to me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy; in Your right hand there are pleasures forever."  When in yoga they tell me to meditate (which is fine) I turn to prayer with God.  I have a difficult time meditating - it takes effort.  As this verse tells us a path with God, to be with him and the gift of joy He offers is better than anything this world can offer.  Try to tap into that today - for just a minute even.

On this day
2004    Was a Wednesday.  Andy was down because Mom was in the hospital.  We just found out she had colon cancer and would need an operation.  My friend Marty had a brain annurism and was in the same hospital on a different floor.  Waynette went over to the hospital and sat with Andy for a while, I was at work but then got to the hospital in time to be the one that told mom about the cancer.  She had the surgery and lived another 11 years but Marty was not as lucky.  Those were tough days but I'm blessed with a big support team, friends and family.  It was a hard time for all of us.

2004 - It was announced that Polar Studios, in Stockholm, would close in May due to high rent. It seems to me the studios here make enough money to pay any rent, what do you think?

Montenegro

Principality of Montenegro (1852–1910)[edit]

Battle of Vučji Do between Montenegrin and Ottoman Army
Petar II Petrović-Njegoš, was a Prince-Bishop (vladika) of Montenegro and Montenegrin national poet and philosopher.
Under Nicholas I, the principality was enlarged several times in the Montenegro-Turkish Wars and was recognised as independent in 1878. Under the rule of Nicholas I, diplomatic relations were established with the Ottoman Empire. Minor border skirmishes excepted, diplomacy ushered in about 30 years of peace between the two states until the deposition of Abdul Hamid II.[17]
The political skills of Abdul Hamid and Nicholas I played a major role in the mutually amicable relations.[17]Modernization of the state followed, culminating with the draft of a Constitution in 1905. However, political rifts emerged between the reigning People's Party, who supported the process of democratization and union with Serbia, and those of the True People's Party, who were monarchist.
During this period, one of the major Montenegrin victories over the Ottomans occurred at the Battle of GrahovacGrand Duke Mirko Petrović, elder brother of Knjaz Danilo, led an army of 7,500 and defeated the numerically superior Ottomans who had 15,000 troops at Grahovac on 1 May 1858. The glory of Montenegrin victory was soon immortalized in the songs and literature of all the South Slavs, in particular the Montenegrins in Vojvodina, then part of Austria-Hungary. This forced the Great Powers to officially demarcate the borders between Montenegro and Ottoman Empire, de facto recognizing Montenegro's independence. Montenegro's independence was recognized by Ottoman Empire at Treaty of Berlin in 1878.
The first Montenegrin constitution was proclaimed in 1855; it was also known as the Danilo Code.  I'm amazed that this was only 100 years before I was born.  The picture looks ancient.  Very handsome people though, don't you think?

Enjoy the day!  Make it memorable!  Happy Birthday Will C!!!
