January 14, 2015 Wednesday

Circuit Training with Jillian two days in a row.  Hope I can walk for dance tonight.

2 Corinthians chapter 11 - Paul Boasts About His Sufferings.  We are not much on suffering, but there are people in the world who depend on their faith in Christ Jesus to tolerate their living experiences.  When life gets tough, that is when we depend on our faith to pull us through.  Try and remember your faith and be thankful when all is going well.

On this day;
1977 - Pete and I went over to Jim and Sharon's new apartment up by Metro.  We went out to dinner and then went in their swimming pool that was half in and half outside.  You had to swim underwater, under the wall to get outside and your hair would freeze if you stayed out too long.  It was a nice break for January, I wonder if the pool still exists there?

1994 - U.S. President Clinton and Russian President Boris Yeltsin signed Kremlin accords to stop aiming missiles at any nation and to dismantle the nuclear arsenal of Ukraine. Yeah well we see how well that worked huh?

Parenting - I am so proud of my daughter and excited for this next step in her life.  She has accepted and been accepted for a job with her favorite thing in the whole world.  Living Waters Ministries, which is the camp Stony Lake and outreaches, is where her heart is, and now she has a chance to expand the outreach and share her God and great faith with others through her knowledge and experience.  No one could be better for this job.  Congratulations! Nicole.  I love you.

Ha Bhuton;  Most info coming from Bhuton at large.  Interesting place;
On 13 November 2005, Chinese soldiers crossed into the disputed territories between China and Bhutan, and began building roads and bridges.[46] Bhutanese Foreign Minister Khandu Wangchuk took up the matter with Chinese authorities after the issue was raised in the Bhutanese parliament. In response, Foreign Ministry spokesman Qin Gang of the People's Republic of China has said that the border remains in dispute and that the two sides are continuing to work for a peaceful and cordial resolution of the dispute.[47] An Indian intelligence officer has said that a Chinese delegation in Bhutan told the Bhutanese that they were "overreacting". The Bhutanese newspaper Kuensel has said that China might use the roads to further Chinese claims along the border.[46]
On 8 February 2007, the Indo-Bhutan Friendship Treaty was substantially revised. The Treaty of 1949, Article 2 states: "The Government of India undertakes to exercise no interference in the internal administration of Bhutan. On its part the Government of Bhutan agrees to be guided by the advice of the Government of India in regard to its external relations." The revised treaty now states "In keeping with the abiding ties of close friendship and cooperation between Bhutan and India, the Government of the Kingdom of Bhutan and the Government of the Republic of India shall cooperate closely with each other on issues relating to their national interests. Neither government shall allow the use of its territory for activities harmful to the national security and interest of the other." The revised treaty also includes this preamble: "Reaffirming their respect for each other's independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity", an element that was absent in the earlier version. The Indo-Bhutan Friendship Treaty of 2007 clarifies Bhutan's status as an independent and sovereign nation.
Bhutan maintains formal diplomatic relations with several Asian and European nations, Canada, and Brazil. Other countries, such as the United States and the United Kingdom, have no formal diplomatic relations with Bhutan, but maintain informal contact through their respective embassies in New Delhi and Bhutanese honorary consulate in Washington, D.C.. The United Kingdom has an Honorary Consul resident in Thimphu.[48][49][50]

Enjoy the day!  Make it memorable!
