January 3, 2015

Actually started the day with kick boxing.  After taking down the décor yesterday I didn't think I would be able to move today.  Drink that water!  Get moving!  Don't forget your resolution!

Psalm 40  vs 8 & 10  - This tells us not to keep our faith to ourselves, but to share it with everyone.  As Christians we have been experiencing a "don't talk about God" experience with the media and even our own friends and family.  Here's a resolution- spread the word of God, tell them about the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

On this day;
1988 - I came down with Bronchitis.  Not surprising, after the hectic schedule of the holidays and contact with so many people - I have it this year too.  But back then, my mom brought over stew and my mother and father in law came over and played with Nicole, gave her a bath (she was 3) and put her to bed after watching Lady and the Tramp.  I miss the good ole days.

1521 - Pope Leo X excommunicated Martin Luther. Being Lutheran this interested me.

Parenting - The worse time to be a parent is when you are sick.  Have you seen the commercial where the dad pokes his head in and says "John, I have to take the day off" and the camera flashes to a baby in his crib.  Yeah, cuz that can't happen.  Nice if your mate or family steps in then, hey!  be that person.  If you know someone that is sick offer to take the child/children to a movie etc.

Ha Bhuton -  Lets find something on this place.
Bhutan (/bˈtɑːn/; Dzongkha: འབྲུག་ཡུལ་; Wylie: 'brug-yul  "Druk Yul"), officially the Kingdom of Bhutan, is a landlocked country in South Asia located at the eastern end of the Himalayas. It is bordered to the north by China and to the south, east and west by India. To the west, it is separated from Nepal by the Indian state of Sikkim, while further south it is separated from Bangladesh by the Indian states of Assam and West Bengal. Bhutan's capital and largest city is Thimphu.
Bhutan existed as a patchwork of minor warring fiefs until the early 17th century, when the lama and military leader Ngawang Namgyal, the 1st Zhabdrung Rinpoche, who was fleeing religious persecution in Tibet, unified the area and cultivated a distinct Bhutanese identity. Later, in the early 20th century, Bhutan came into contact with the British Empire and retained strong bilateral relations with India upon its independence. In 2006, based on a global survey, Business Week rated Bhutan the happiest country in Asia and the eighth-happiest in the world.[10] I like that they are so happy, good place to visit in January!

Enjoy the day!  Make it memorable!
