Get Faith
Ephesians 5;31  "A man must leave his father and mother when he marries so that he can be perfectly joined to his wife, and the two shall be one."  We raise our children to be independent and begin new lives with a mate, a life of growing and supporting and loving each other.  In a perfect world the joined families celebrate their love with them and they all live happily ever after.  I did not have the luxury or security of this happening in my life but I pray for it for my daughter.  It seems to be working.

Get Fit
Swimming is a great way to exercise.  You can work out your arms and legs and get cardio in as well.  It is the least stressful on your skeletal system while being refreshing!  I think I just talked myself into going out to Lindsey and Scott's today for a quick swim!!  Keep cool in this heat in Michigan today and STAY HYDRATED!

On this day
2009  Nine years ago and it was a big problem to come home and find out my computer was broke.  Now to me it is like not having a phone or a refrigerator or any other necessary equipment.  I am part of a generation that says "what did we do before we had cell phones?  we used the pay phone!"  Not me I am adjoined to this generation in turning around and going back home if I forget my phone - no matter how far or how late I will be.  That's all.

1789 - The Third Estate in France declared itself a national assembly, and began to frame a constitution.
The Estates began their meeting at Versailles on May 5, 1789 and quickly entered into a power struggle. The Third Estate soon declared itself a "National Assembly" that was representative of the people. This new National Assembly expressed its desire to include the other two Estates in its deliberations but also made it clear that it was determined to move forward without them. Louis attempted to shut down the National Assembly, but on June 20 its members declared that they would not disband until they had written a new constitution for France.  This sounds strangely familiar to me.  History does repeat itself..over and over and

Geology[edit]

Thessaloniki lies on the northern fringe of the Thermaic Gulf on its eastern coast and is bound by Mount Chortiatis on its southeast. Its proximity to imposing mountain ranges, hills and fault lines, especially towards its southeast have historically made the city prone to geological changes.
Since medieval times, Thessaloniki was hit by strong earthquakes, notably in 1759, 1902, 1978 and 1995.[139] On 19–20 June 1978, the city suffered a series of powerful earthquakes, registering 5.5 and 6.5 on the Richter scale.[140][141] The tremors caused considerable damage to a number of buildings and ancient monuments,[140] but the city withstood the catastrophe without any major problems.[141] One apartment building in central Thessaloniki collapsed during the second earthquake, killing many, raising the final death toll to 51.[140][141]

There is a ton of history to this ancient place but let's get looking at more current issues and places to see!

Enjoy the day!  Make it memorable!!
Happy Fathers day!!
