September 1, 2018 Saturday #Restored#Holiday!#Big fun Bad choices#Green!

Get Faith
Jeremiah 31:26  "At this I awoke and looked around.  My sleep had been pleasant to me."  This verse comes after God has reassured Jeremiah that he will redeem Israel and restore the land to them, their children will be returned and He blessed them.  If we could all get that reassurance from God in our sleep think of how restful and peaceful we would feel waking up to a new day.  Our God reaches out to us and hopes that you respond in worship and prayer.

Get Fit
I probably don't need to say I did AM yoga - it is Saturday after all.  On this holiday weekend I hope you find some fun things to do with good friends/family and great things to eat!  Enjoy!!

On this day
1974  Pete and I and friends were in a huge motor home in Toronto for the last Crosby Stills Nash and Young concert.  Finding places to park a vehicle that size wasn't easy, especially if you wanted hook up with water and electric.  There were 8 of us in the motor home.  We did find friends staying at the Hyatt so we could shower.  The city was loaded with people.  On this day which was a Sunday, after breakfast at the city hall ?  we went to the Four Seasons, CNE and Ontario Place.  They wanted to charge 20 parking so we went back to the Hyatt to parking lot and partied and played cards.  I remember feeling like rats in a cage.  Everyone but Pete and I were fighting and so they started smoking, at least it calmed them all down.  I don't smoke weed but you didn't have to in that enclosed bus.  Pete, Charley and Rich - RIP  a testimonial to fast living.

1807 - Former U.S. Vice President Aaron Burr was found innocent of treason. Gotta love the politicians - even in 1807.  tsk tsk.

Wabag is the capital of Enga ProvincePapua New Guinea. It is the least populous provincial capital in the country. It is on the Lai River; the Highlands Highway passes through the town, between Mount Hagen and Porgera. Europeans first visited the site in 1938-39[1] A radio camp and airstrip were established in 1938-39 but restrictions on transportation and the surrounding land's infertility long inhibited Wabag's development.[2]

Enjoy the day!  Make it memorable!
Happy Birthday Liz and Paul!
