Get Fit
Bobby and I in the living room with boxing gloves.  I don't have a clue.  No, really a little kick boxing never hurt anyone - try it!  Martial arts makes a lot of sense for a few reasons.

Matthew 7:21-27 - vs 24  Jesus speaking-" Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock."   The foundation of faith needs to be strong.  It needs to be learned through scripture and practiced in life and supported by fellow believers.  The church is a rock for you to build your faith on, learn, share and support.

On this day;
2011 -  Coffee on the lanai with the dogs.  Don and I were at our first stop in Florida, my dear friend Christina's place.  It is such a pleasant day to remember in the Villages.  We drove around to all the parks, bars and places of interest and soaked up the sun.  A lot happened that year and a lot has changed since then.  I am so glad we had that time with Chris and Steve.  Enjoy each day as they come.  I sometimes live too much in the future, looking forward to the next event.  Stop and smell the roses.
1966 - The U.S. recovered a hydrogen bomb it had lost off the coast of Spain. Really ?  I've lost my keys and occasionally my mind, but a hydrogen bomb?

Parenting/family -  It must be spring.  My neighbor is back outside with her two kids, up and down the sidewalk.  It is spring break, her daughter is in school, but her son is too young yet.  She is a stay at home mom.  That is a disappearing breed. Her husband is a cook at National Coney Island.  I wonder how they do it.  I do enjoy seeing the kids outside and the mom is always out there with them, remember those days?

Come Get These Memories - of the Sixties (excerpt)

     After that there were monster movies on.  I loved those with the Ghoul, oh, and The Twilight Zone.  The television was still relatively new phenomenon, and still in black and white but no reruns yet.  So after Dad’s great hot dog lunch, if there was not a sports game on I might be able to watch some TV  unless a friend called on the phone hanging in the kitchen on the wall or came over to play. Life was simple then.
