December 13, 2013 Thursday#Forgive#Brain work#Mom#City growth and bombed.

Get Faith
Matthew 6:14  "For if you forgive men (women) when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you."  Pay attention to this verse.  If you want to be forgiven for the things you have done wrong - you need to forgive those who have wronged you.  Can you?  Can you do that?  God knows how hating, carrying un-forgiveness in your heart, holding a grudge against anyone, can set you on the wrong road and put that proverbial lode stone around your neck.  Ask God to help you to forgive so that you don't have to carry that weight and possibly hurt your entrance to heaven.

Get Fit
I wish there were exercises for our brains.  I know they say crossword puzzles and even physical exercise help our brain by having more blood pump thru, but I'd like to feel the burn (so to speak) on my brain.  I feel like it is getting - soft.  I did work out the legs again today, but what good are strong legs if your brain doesn't know where it is going?  Work with me here people - suggestions?

On this day
2015  Was my Mom's funeral.  The church was packed with people.  Pastor Chris did the service and Pastor Schmidt did Mom's eulogy.  He was her Pastor, and he sang the Lord's prayer, she would have been thrilled.  We had a beautiful lunch in the gym following, the kind I usually helped serve at.  I think we had 200 people at lunch.  I was so happy that Mom would have been honored at such a wonderful turn out.  My house was packed with people after and then just the family went to the cemetery, with Pastor Chris and saw that she was put to bed with the rest of the family, Dad, David and her parents Alexandra and Heinrich Pode.   A good day for a life well lived and a Mom well loved.

1503 - Physician, astrologer and clairvoyant Nostradamus was born at St. Remy, Provence, France. I wonder.

Zurich Switzerland
Extensive developments took place during the 19th century. From 1847, the Spanisch-Brötli-Bahn, the first railway on Swiss territory, connected Zürich with Baden, putting the Zürich Hauptbahnhof at the origin of the Swiss rail network. The present building of the Hauptbahnhof (the main railway station) dates to 1871. Zürich's Bahnhofstrasse (Station Street) was laid out in 1867, and the Zürich Stock Exchange was founded in 1877. Industrialisation led to migration into the cities and to rapid population growth, particularly in the suburbs of Zürich.
The Quaianlagen are an important milestone in the development of the modern city of Zürich, as the construction of the new lake front transformed Zürich from a small medieval town on the rivers Limmat and Sihl to an attractive modern city on the Zürichsee shore, under the guidance of the city engineer Arnold Bürkli.[citation needed]
In 1893, the twelve outlying districts were incorporated into Zürich, including Aussersihl, the workman's quarter on the left bank of the Sihl, and additional land was reclaimed from Lake Zürich.[28]
In 1934, eight additional districts in the north and west of Zürich were incorporated.
Zürich was accidentally bombed during World War II.
Accidentally????  sounds like a good story.

Enjoy the day!  Make it memorable!  Happy Birthday Beth!!
