Ephesians chapter 5:15-20 We should spend our time wisely - finding time for studying the word, singing praise to the Lord and sharing the Spirit with those around us. I personally have a demon that sometimes takes my thoughts where I don't want to go. Today in church, while trying to meditate, my demon started acting up causing "non meditational" thoughts. I duck taped his little demon mouth then wrapped my arms around it till it quit crying. How is your demon today?
On this day;
1976 - Pete came over and we went to the show. We saw Naked Came the Stranger. I don't remember a thing about this movie, but when I read the entry I thought, this sounds like a movie Pete would like to see. What does that say about him? lol I can tell you HIS demon was alive and in control most of the time.
1947 - The DuMont network aired "Movies For Small Fry." It was network television's first successful children's program. AWWW just for me, I was born in February of this year.
Parenting - We all did or are doing it. You find something entertaining on TV, or a video that will hold the kids attention while you accomplish what you want to do. What did they do before TV? Oh, I remember they stuck you in bed for a nap, or in the playpen with a teddy bear and blocks. Which do you think is better? Technology has its benefits.
Come Get These Memories - of the Sixties (excerpt)
Adam had not
been a high grade point average student in school. His crowning glory was the football. I don’t know if Dad was disappointed because he had gone to Cass Tech when he got
here from Scotland and then had gone on to the technical college. My uncles always bragged about how smart
their youngest brother Don, was. I don’t
remember either Mom or Dad criticizing Adam for his academics, he was such an
exemplary son, how could they? But I
think Adam was concerned about even getting a scholarship to college and having
to keep up his grades. I thought he was
capable of anything and everything, I’m
just not sure he did.
Juneau Alaska Transportation[edit]
Juneau is not directly accessible by road, although there are road connections to several areas immediately adjacent to the city. Primary access to the city is by air and sea. Cars and trucks are transported to and from Juneau by barge or the Alaska Marine Highway ferry system.
Alaska Airlines flight moments after landing at Juneau International Airport.
The Juneau-Douglas Bridge, connecting mainland Juneau with Douglas Island. The original bridge was built in 1935. The bridge shown here, which replaced the original, was completed in 1980.
Sea[edit]
The State-owned ferry is called the Alaska Marine Highway System (AMHS). Local government operates a bus service under the name Capital Transit. There are also several taxicab companies, and tour buses used mainly for cruise ship visitors.Air[edit]
Juneau International Airport serves the city and borough of Juneau. Alaska Airlines and Delta Air Lines are the sole commercial jet passenger operators. MarkAir and Western Airlines previously served Juneau. Alaska Airlines provides service to Anchorage and Sitka as well as to many small communities in the state. Delta Air Lines provides seasonal summer service to Seattle.[30] Seattle is a common destination for Juneau residents. Wings of Alaska, Alaska Seaplanes, and Air Excursions offer scheduled flights on smaller aircraft to villages in Southeast Alaska. Some air carriers provide U.S. mail service.Roads[edit]
Avalanche hazards, steep slopes, cold weather and environmental protection concerns are factors that make road construction and maintenance difficult and costly. The Juneau-Douglas Bridge connects Juneau mainland with Douglas Island.
Juneau is one of only four state capitals not served by an Interstate highway. (Others are Dover, Delaware; Jefferson City, Missouri; and Pierre, South Dakota.)[31] Sounds like travel is interesting.
