Ephesians chapter 4: 14-16 This is about growing in your faith and strengthening the body of Christian believers. We stay on track by studying the Word and strengthening our faith. Just as in exercising you must practice. If you want a better golf game you must play often, right?
On this day:
1992 - It was a Monday and Aaron was 14 and didn't have school so he stayed the extra day from the weekend. Nicole would have been 7 and I like to remember how happy she was when he walked to school to meet her and walk her home. They were very close and loving with each other, they broke the "Great Brother" mold after him, he was the best.
1807 - The U.S. Congress passed an act to "prohibit the importation of slaves into any port or place within the jurisdiction of the United States... from any foreign kingdom, place, or country." So, no new slaves were needed , they were producing enough within in the country? This is a bad history for our country - but don't be fooled, it still exists.
Parenting - I was blessed to have such a great step son to help raise my daughter. He also had another step sister that he divided his attention with. It all led to him being a great family man with 3 children of his own now. I still thank God for him and the great example he is.
Come and Get These Memories - of the Sixties. excerpt
I paced looking out the window to the
street waiting for the car to appear. Finally I heard Dad’s car pull up in the
driveway, home from work. He always looked
so tired when he came home. We didn’t
bother him too much with anything right away.
He wore his grey work jacket and pants with an open collar white
shirt. Mom had bought him a big heavy
three quarter length grey coat, but I don’t remember him wearing it. Dad was a foreman at a company that made and
installed huge factory furnaces. Mom
always said he was important where he worked and it sometime made him
sick. I waited for him to get his coat
off and settle into his chair and light a cigarette. He looked at me expectantly, because I was
standing there, waiting.

Alaska’s state capital is also one of its most beautiful cities and one of the most visited communities in the state. With so much to see and do, there’s certain to be something for you in Juneau.
About Juneau
Downtown Juneau sits snugly between Mount Juneau, Mount Roberts and Gastineau Channel, and is a maze of narrow streets running past a mix of new structures, old storefronts and quaint houses featuring early 19th century architecture left over from the town’s early gold mining days. The waterfront bustles with cruise ships, fishing boats and floatplanes zipping in and out. With no road access to Juneau, it is the only state capital in the United States that can only be reached by airplane or boat.
