March 12, 2015 Thursday

Did the Get Started all the way through this morning.  Circuit training - 2 minutes aerobics and 1 minute of weights.  I like it.

Ephesians chapter 2:1-3  These verses remind us that when we live for ourselves first, with no regard for others, we choose to live in sin and wrath.  God wants us to turn around and come back to him and has showed the way to this life in His Son Jesus Christ.  We know God's love when we love one another.

On this day;
1978 - I had bought the house on Maxine the year before, with Pete's approval.  He liked the attached garage (he could work on boat stuff ), it was close to HIS boat at the marina, on HIS side of town.  Pete had found the house, put a new furnace in it and so I thought he was looking at a long term living arrangement.  NO.  On this day he put a deposit down on another house, he said it would be a rental.  He ended up living in the tiny one room apartment upstairs in it.  It was an interesting relationship.

1994 - A photo by Marmaduke Wetherell of the Loch Ness monster was confirmed to be a hoax. The photo was taken of a toy submarine with a head and neck attached. We are going to Scotland this August so this was an interesting piece, especially since we will be taking a cruise on Loch Ness.  We will watch out for the hoax.

Parenting - Looking at places for Mom and figuring out how all this works.  Not a pleasant task.

Come Get These Memories - of the Sixties
Finally dinner was finished, the candles were lit, the song was sung and the cake and ice cream were eaten.  Mom and I cleaned up the kitchen and I finally got to open my gifts.
     I grabbed the biggest box and ripped the birthday paper off of it.  I got a record player. I was so happy!  It was a big, grey portable box with a hinged lid and a handle. I also got a record case to hold maybe 25 – 45 rpm  records,  and a sweater from mom and a new purse from Martin.  Dad gave me money and took me to a record store in Redford a few days later to buy records for my new phonograph.

The following 7-day itineraries with optional add-ons are suggestions to give you an idea of how much you can do and see in Alaska within a week.
They are meant to serve as a starting point for trip planning, with a variety of options to fit your needs. For example, you can easily combine two 7-day itineraries to make a 14-day itinerary, or reverse the route of any trip.
