September 2, 2017 Saturday #Alone#Hispath!#Boatride#Titanic#centrallylocated!

Get Fit
Wow it has been a busy week and today a busy morning.  Nicole left for Ohio and my dear friend Linda packed up and left for the airport to head back to Dallas.  I'm alone with the cat.  Going to clean house, they say it is good exercise!

Get Faith
Psalm 119:35 "Direct me in the path of your commands, for there I find delight."  God advises us the best way to go about our lives so that we are cared for, content and successful.  His path of commands are not as harsh as you think when you consider that those things we want to do and think He doesn't like are usually contrary to us being healthy in the long run.  He offers the peace that this world can't give us.

On this day
1985  Nicole was only a little over 3 months old and we took the 26' Four Winns out with Barb and Bill, Ty and Norma and Jan and Curt.  We cruised up the South Channel and stopped to eat at Four Winds restaurant.  It was easy for me with the baby because I was still nursing and the 26 was a very comfortable boat with a nice salon to sit in and feed her.  She was of course not short on arms to hold her.  What a nice Labor Day weekend memory.

1985 - It was announced that the Titanic had been found on September 1 by a U.S. and French expedition 560 miles off Newfoundland. The luxury liner had been missing for 73 years. Wow!  and it is still there!

Fresno California
Fresno (/ˈfrɛzn/ FREZ-no (Spanish for "ash tree") is a city in CaliforniaUnited States, and the county seat of Fresno County. It covers about 112 square miles (290 km2)[12] in the center of the San Joaquin Valley, the southern portion of the California's Central Valley.
Named for the abundant ash trees lining the San Joaquin River, Fresno was founded in 1872 as a railway station of the Central Pacific Railroadbefore it was incorporated in 1885. The city has since become an economic hub of Fresno County and the San Joaquin Valley, with much of the surrounding areas in the Metropolitan Fresno region predominantly tied to large-scale agricultural production.
The population of Fresno proper soared in the second half of the 20th century, growing from a 1960 census population of 134,000 to a 2000 census population of 428,000.[13] With a census-estimated 2016 population of 520,159,[9] Fresno is the fifth-most populous city in California, the most populous city in the Central Valley, the most populous inland city in California, and the 34th-most populous city in the nation.
Fresno is near the geographical center of California. It lies approximately 220 miles (350 km) north of Los Angeles, 170 miles (270 km) south of the state capital, Sacramento, and 185 miles (300 km) southeast of San FranciscoYosemite National Park is about 60 miles (100 km) to the north, Kings Canyon National Park is 60 miles (100 km) to the east, and Sequoia National Park is 75 miles (120 km) to the southeast.  what a great location to visit so many sites around the area!  Very centrally located!

Enjoy the day!  Make it memorable!  Happy Birthday to Matt, Tim, Doug and (David my kid brother (RIP)
