June 8, 2015 Monday #repentancerainfairness

Get Fit
Love to do me some Kickin with Country with Denise on a Monday morning.  The cat choose yoga in the middle of my line dance floor.

Get Faith
2 Chronicles chapter 30 - Repentance. The Priests sent out letters to all the Israelites in the surrounding land to come back to God, repent and be forgiven.  Sound familiar?  God never quits, he is still calling -  vs. 9 He will hot turn his face from you if you return to him.  Mercy Mercy Mercy

On This Day
1975 - We pretty much lived on the boat through the summer.  Today was a cool rainy day, much like today this year.  The nice thing about the boat was you could drive from inside and go anyways.  Which we did, and because of the weather there wasn't much boat traffic.  We ended taking Jim's boat over to Browns on the island for dinner.  What ever you do, don't let the summer rain slow you down.

793 - The Vikings raided the Northumbrian coast of England.  no one wanted the rough terrain and thistles of Scotland.

Parenting
How fair is it that the royals can have two children that look like they are from a classic angel portrait in a museum?  Really.

Come Get These Memories - of the Sixties

After dinner the older cousins were going to the Catholic boys camp just north of the cabins.  We were not supposed to go there, it was off limits, but that didn’t stop them.  It was pitch black when they would find a path into the deep woods around the barren cabins that the boys stayed in.  My older cousins, as the conversation indicated were dating some of the counselors at the camp, so it was all very exciting.  They had to drag me along because they couldn’t think of a good reason to explain why they couldn’t take me.
Mauritania Africa

Issue of Western Sahara[edit]

Mauritania, along with Morocco, annexed the territory of Western Sahara in 1976, with Mauritania taking the lower one-third at the request of Spain, a former imperial power. After several military losses to the Polisario – heavily armed and supported by Algeria, the local hegemon and rival to Morocco – Mauritania withdrew in 1979. Its claims were taken over by Morocco.
Due to economic weakness, Mauritania has been a negligible player in the territorial dispute, with its official position being that it wishes for an expedient solution that is mutually agreeable to all parties. While most of Western Sahara has been occupied by Morocco, the UN still considers the Western Sahara a territory that needs to express its wishes with respect to statehood. A referendum is still supposed to be held sometime in the future, under UN auspices, to determine whether or not the indigenous Sahrawis wish to be independent, as the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic, or to be part of Morocco. The Moroccan government has thus far blocked such a referendum. This like earthquakes and volcanoes seems to be a natural order of life here on earth.

Enjoy the Day!  Make it memorable!  Happy Birthday to Phil and Austin!
